Buying Your First Sex Doll
Your first doll is a bigger decision than it looks. Height, weight, material, storage and delivery all affect how much you enjoy owning it. Most first-time buyers over-focus on the face and under-focus on weight and storage.
This checklist walks through the decisions in the order that matters.

1. Decide where the doll will live
Measure the space before you shop. A full-size doll needs somewhere clean, dry and out of direct sunlight, with enough room to lie flat or stand supported. If you cannot dedicate that space, consider a petite doll or a torso.
Think about who else uses the room and how you will store the doll when not in use. A closet, spare room or storage bench works well. Avoid damp basements and hot attics.
2. Choose a height you can handle
A 150–160cm doll is manageable for most adults. A 170cm silicone doll can weigh 40kg or more. If you will move the doll regularly, choose a shorter height or a lighter TPE body.
Do not choose a height just because it looks best in photos. The best doll is the one you can comfortably live with.
- 150–158cm: easiest to handle
- 160–165cm: most popular balance
- 168cm+: maximum presence, plan for help
3. Pick the material
TPE is softer and cheaper but needs more maintenance. Silicone is firmer, more detailed and easier to clean. Hybrids pair a silicone head with a TPE body. For a first doll, TPE or hybrid is forgiving; silicone is the better long-term choice if budget allows.
4. Keep the options simple
Start with the core doll and add only the options you will actually use. A standard wig, standard feet and solid bust are fine for a first purchase. Put the savings toward care supplies and a proper storage solution.
5. Plan delivery and care
Shipping is discreet and insured, but you need to be available to receive a large box. Have a plan for moving it inside. Buy mild soap, renewal powder and a soft towel before the doll arrives.
Read the care guide, clean the doll before first use, and establish a routine for powdering and storage. Good habits from day one make the doll last much longer.
- Be home for delivery
- Have a second person available for a tall doll
- Buy mild soap and renewal powder in advance
- Clean and powder before first use
